Prior to the election elections in Bengal, Shubhendu Adhikari left TMC to join BJP. He opposes Prime Minister Mamata Banerjee of Nandigram and defeats Mamta. From the election results, the difference between the BJP and TMC leader is clear.

Let us tell you, the BJP has elected Shubhendu Adhikari, MP for Nandigram Parliament and once approached Mamata Banerjee, as the Leader of the Opposition in the West Bengal Council. The center has provided Y + (Y +) class security to his father Shishir Adhikari and his brother Divyendu Adhikari.

Shubhendu Adhikari defeated CM Mamata Banerjee by a 1956 vote in the Nandigram seat in the general election. For the first time in the West Bengal convention elections, the BJP emerged as an opposition party. Of the 292 seats in total, TMC received 213 seats. In the 2016 election, TMC won 211 seats. 77 seats went to BJP account. Some found two seats. At the same time, the Congress and Left alliance account was not opened.
