At 1.73 lakh, India sees lowest new Covid cases

India has registered new Covid cases of more than 1.73 lakh, the lowest in the last six weeks, suppressing coronavirus cases in the country to 2.77 crore. Active cases in the last 24 hours dropped by 1 lakh.
India on Saturday registered new Covid cases of more than 1.73 lakh, the lowest in the last six weeks, suppressing coronavirus cases in the country to 2.77 crore. This is the lowest rise in the last 45 days. India reported 1.61 lakh Covid cases on April 12.

A total of 3,617 Covid patients contracted the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 3,22 512. To date, 20,89 crore have been vaccinated against Covid. India has provided a total of 30,62,747 prices in the last 24 hours.

In the last 24 hours, 2,84,601 patients recovered from the disease. There are active Covid cases of 22.28 lakh in India, a drop of 1,14,428 in the last 24 hours.
The top five provinces that have registered Covid high cases in the last 24 hours are Tamil Nadu with 31,077 cases, followed by Karnataka with 22,823 cases, Kerala with 22,318 cases, Maharashtra with 20,740 cases and Andhra Pradesh with 14,429 cases.
About 64.08 percent of new cases in the last 24 hours have been reported from these five provinces. Tamil Nadu alone reported 17.88 percent of new cases.

The worst injuries were reported in Maharashtra (973), followed by Tamil Nadu with 486 deaths daily.

Daily acquisitions continue to pass new Covid cases daily for the 16th day in a row. The recovery rate increased to 90.80 percent. The current goodwill rate stands at 9.84 percent
