Watch | ‘Spinner’ Kieron Pollard gives Matthew Wade a ‘Mankading warning’ during WI vs AUS 3rd ODI

WI vs AUS: Matthew Wade returned unbeaten after scoring 51 runs and played a key role in helping Australia win. Batting first, West Indies were bundled out for 152 runs.

The Australian tour of the West Indies is finally over. The final and decisive one-day international match of the AUS vs WI ODI three-game series was played between the two teams on Monday. Australia won the deciding match by six wickets to seal the series 2-1.

Previously, the West Indies had won the T20 International Series in five games 4-1. In the last game of the series, West Indies captain Kieron Pollard was seen bowling. Pollard is a versatile player and usually plays at an average pace, but during one of the overs, he decided to play off the spin.

He was lucky enough to fire Wade in the form at the end of the non-striker, but he ended up warning Australian batsman Mankading, whose video went viral on social media. Although Pollard did not withdraw the bonds, his actions were questioned by many as it appeared he was waiting for Wade to come out of the fold by delaying the release of the ball.

Matthew Wade came back undefeated after scoring 51 points and was instrumental in helping Australia win. Beating first, the West Indies were grouped for 152 points. Opener Evin Lewis was not absent and was also the West Indies’ top scorer, scoring 55 of 66 balls to help his team score 152/10 in 45.1 overs.

Aside from Lewis, none of the Caribbean batsmen have even made it to the 20 point mark. For Australia, Mitchell Starc took three wickets for 43 runs in 9.1 overs. Josh Hazlewood, Ashton Agar, and Adam Zampa each took two wickets, while one wicket was chosen by Ashton Turner.

In response, Australia won the match scoring 153 points for the four-wicket loss in 30.3 overs. Ashton Agar did not return after scoring 19 runs.
