India cricket team head coach Ravi Shastri expressed disappointment over the 10-day isolation rule for vaccinated people who comes in contact with a Covid-19 positive person.
After India team screening specialist Dayanand Gerani tested positive for coronavirus, some coaches and team players have had to self-isolate in recent weeks after coming into contact with Gerani, per protocols UK sanitary facilities. Rishabh Pant recently joined the Indian contingent after testing Covid-19 negative and completing his 10-day isolation.
The wicket-keeper batsman had tested positive for Covid-19 on July 8. Indian bowling coach Bharat Arun has also had to self-isolate after coming into contact with someone positive for coronavirus.

“My right hand is back in the house. I look fitter and stronger after being isolated for 10 days even though the test is negative all along. Bloody frustrating these isolation rules trust 2 shots of vaccine, ”Shastri wrote on Twitter by posting a selfie with bowling coach Bharat Arun.
In accordance with UK health regulations, bowling coach Arun, main wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha and stand-by opener Abhimanyu Easwaran were instructed to remain isolated for 10 days after coming into contact with the jet specialist -cum-masseur Dayanand Garani.
The trio returned to the team’s bio bubble on Saturday after completing a mandatory one-and-a-half-week quarantine. Despite testing negative for coronavirus in the RT-PCR test, the three had to be isolated.
Wriddhiman Saha recovered from Covid-19 in May after being infected with this virus while playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2020 Indian Premier League, which was later postponed after several cases of Covid-19 were detected in the IPL bio bubble.
