#JusticeForNEETAspirants no.1 trend on Twitter as students ask for postponement; Congress supports demand

#JusticeForNEETAspirants became the no.1 trend on Twitter on Tuesday as thousands of students groups and social media users rallied to demand the postponement of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG). The exam is scheduled for September 12.

It comes just a day after the Supreme Court refused to hear a plea to postpone the entrance medical exam. However, it did allow students to appear before the National Testing Agency (NTA), the authority that organizes the exam.

On Tuesday, the founder of the NCR Parents’ Association, Sukhpal Singh Toor, submitted a representation to the Ministry of Education, raising various concerns, including that the exam date conflicts with other examinations planned around the medical entrance. Toor will submit the representation to the testing agency soon, he told India TV.

Meanwhile, several politicians joined in the protest on Twitter and tweeted in support of the demands raised by the students.
