Plea in Supreme Court Seeking Cancelation of NEET 2021, Re-Exam

Plea in Supreme Court to seek the cancellation of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2021. A group of medical aspirants in a written petition called for the exam to be re-organized to “protect the ‘interest of genuine, deserving, and deserving people “. The review took place on September 12, however, controversies regarding the same began a few days earlier with allegations of paper leaks. Also on the day of the exam, the question paper was found floating on WhatsApp in which a Jaipur-based student was found guilty.

An alleged racket is also under investigation. According to reports, CBI is investigating a racket of impersonators who passed the entrance medical examination in exchange for money. These people allegedly forged admission cards and took exams disguised as students and their involvement in the recent exam is also under investigation.

The Plea in Supreme Court was completed by lawyer Mamata Sharma who also fought for the cancellation of the CBSE board exams in 2020. The plea also sought instructions from the Ministry of Education, the National Testing Agency, and the National Medical Commission to improve examination safety protocols. . The plea also calls for a response from the NTA on why the exam should not be canceled after the alleged cheating scandals.

Previously, a group of wannabes had submitted a representation to the NTA demanding a review and investigation from the CBI into the medical entry scam.

The students further claimed that they submitted another representation before the exam was held on September 12, September 7, however, received no response on this matter.

While candidates called cheating a “matter of serious concern for the future of the student and a violation of the sanctity and security of the exam,” they also pointed out that the change in exam model “Caused stress in the students” and that they needed more time to prepare. and therefore requested a review.

“We need more time to adjust to the new exam model, as it was the medical entrance exam that is held across the country once a year,” the students wrote. However, the NTA had clarified that the change in the examination model was due to the reduced curriculum in all boards for students in grade 12 for the last school year.

They also gave examples of special cases where the medical entry was made twice a year in the representation. In 2015, the Supreme Court ordered the CBSE, the body then responsible for the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT), to repeat the examination.
