IPS Saumya Sambasivam Success Story
IPS Saumya Sambasivam : When we read or think about the power of an IAS or IPS, it seems that we wish we too had such power.
But we should also know that they get this power after so much hard work. Today we are going to tell you the story of one such woman IPS officer Soumya Sambasivan. Those who make criminals tremble in whose name.
She has been the first woman SP of Shimla.
Soumya is a resident of Kerala. She is an IPS officer of 2010 batch. Soumya’s dream was to become a writer, but fate had something else in store for her. Although he has also done PDGBA. Saumya’s father was an engineer. Saumya is the only daughter of her parents.
Saumya did her graduation in Bio stream before PDGBA. When his MBA was completed, he started working in a bank and worked for 2 years. Along with the job, he also started preparing for UPSC.
Saumya’s preparation was successful and she became a 2010 batch IPS officer of Himachal cadre. The first posting he got after becoming an IPS was in Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh.
When she was the SP of Sirmaur, she slapped an MLA in a protest and sent him to jail. After this there was a lot of discussion about Saumya.
Saumya worked as an investment banker in HSBC Bank for many years before clearing the UPSC exam in her first attempt and becoming an IPS. He has studied in schools in different states of the country. He graduated in Biotechnology from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore and did PGDBA in Marketing and Finance from ICFAI, Hyderabad.
