Rabiya Saifi case: A civil defense agent was allegedly stabbed to death after being raped by a man on August 27 in Delhi. The officer was reportedly kidnapped before being assaulted and murdered. Since the murder, demands for justice have gone viral on Twitter, setting #JusticeForRabiya trending on the microblogging platform.
Rabiya Saifi, a 21-year-old defense officer, was stabbed to death last month. Apparently, the accused claimed in the case to be Saifi’s partner. Identified as Nizamuddin, the accused in the case went to Kalindi Kunj police station after killing Saifi. After surrendering to the cops, Nizamuddin said that he and Saifi were secretly married in court. He added that Saifi’s family did not support the marriage.
According to a report by Aaj Tak, the couple engaged in an argument as a result of which the accused kidnapped and murdered her.

Since the alleged murder, social media has sparked outrage over the matter on September 4 as local media reported the incident. #JusticeForRabiya has started showing up on Twitter.
Congress leader Abhishek Singhvi condemned the alleged inaction in the case, according to reports. He said a civil protection officer was brutally raped and stabbed in the nation’s capital and that Delhi police remained absolutely silent.
Regarding the same, Surajkund Station House Officer (SHO) would have ensured a fair investigation into the case.
Lok Sabha (MLA) member Asaduddin Owaisi, who is also the chairman of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen, also condemned Saifi’s death and demanded the strictest sentence in the case.

A complaint has been filed in the case by Rabiya Saifi’s family. Further actions are awaited in the case.
