CBSE and AICTE launch “Innovation Ambassador Program” to train teachers in conceptual thinking and innovation

The Central Council for Secondary Education (CBSE) has partnered with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to deliver the “Innovation Ambassador Program”. As part of the program, teachers from CBSE affiliated schools will be trained on all five modules, including design and innovation, idea generation and ideal grip, intellectual property rights, product development or prototypes, finance, sales, and human resources.

More than 40,000 teachers have participated in the online awareness program organized on the advocacy of the Innovation Ambassadors program.

The online innovation ambassador training program can help build mentoring capacity to nurture students’ ideas, said Dr Abhay Jere, Director of Innovation, AICTE. He said this would systematically foster a culture of innovation in school education across the country.

The aim of the program is to motivate, train and involve students and teachers in various skills improvement initiatives currently organized by AICTE for its engineering and technology students and professors, CBSE said in an official statement.
