Xiaomi Mi 12 can come with a Snapdragon 898 processor, LPDDR5X RAM

Chinese manufacturer of smartphones, Xiaomi has introduced several smartphones in its Mi 11 series this year. While Xiaomi has not yet officially approved the existence of the Xiaomi Mi 12, a new report from China claims it has leaked information about important phone specifications.

An improved Mi 12 series of Xiaomi smartphone specifications introduced online. The layout of the LPDDR5X was announced a day ago by JEDEC and one of the first smartphones to integrate this technology now is rumored to be the upcoming Mi 12.

According to new rumors it is suggested that Xiaomi Mi 12 will get LPDDR5X RAM and the ability to expose the Snapdragon 898 processor.

This contradicts the previous report that the Mi 12 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 895 SoC.

This processor can reach clock speeds of 3.9GHz and under quad-core design. The new RAM configuration offers a maximum data transfer rate of 6 400 Mbps to 8,533 Mbps, double what LPDDR4X can handle.

In addition, thanks to the new RAM technology, the Mi 11 will provide signal integrity and flexible upgrade management to provide system reliability.

Previous leaks indicated that more advanced specifications would be available, including a 200MP camera while the Mi 12 Ultra could receive 200W charging support.

Currently, the Snapdragon 888 and Snapdragon 870 processors do not support LPDDR5X RAM. But the upcoming Snapdragon 898 processor is expected to receive LPDDR5X support.
