However, the West Bengal class 10 and 12 2021 exam program will be announced later on the board’s official website, he added.

“We have decided to hold secondary (Madhyamik) and higher secondary (Uccho Madhyamik) exam … in accordance with all Covid-19 safety standards,” Banerjee was quoted as saying by PTI in its report.

As a result of growing Coronavirus cases, the West Bengal government has announced an extension of state detention until June 15, 2021, to detect the disease.

Most of the state boards have already either postponed or canceled their board exams in view of the rising number of coronavirus cases. Recently, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Council for The Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) have also canceled the class 10th board exams and had postponed the class 12th board exams in light of the pandemic. 

According to the high-level meeting held on May 23, 2021, with all the states/UT education ministers, secretaries, and other officials to discuss the pending Class 12 board exams, the final decision on the matter is likely to be announced on June 1, 2021.
