Virat Kohli Leaves Special Message For RCB New Captain Faf Du Plessis

Virat Kohli, former captain of the Royal Challengers Bangalore, left a special message for the newly-announced captain of the franchise, Faf du Plessis. He passed on the baton ahead of the impending 15th season of the Indian Premier League.

Du Plessis, who was the frontrunner for the role of Indian wicketkeeper-batter during last month’s mega auction, was roped in for INR 7 crore. He is competing against veteran Dinesh Karthik and Australia’s Glenn Maxwell for the role.

He has now become the franchise’s seventh captain in IPL history after Rahul Dravid, Kevin Pietersen, Anil Kumble, Daniel Vettori, Kohli and Shane Watson.

After the announcement that Virat Kohli would be leaving RCB, the team shared a video of Kohli’s special message for Du Plessis. Du Plessis is looking forward to the new season and their new partnership with Kohli.

I’m happy to report that our season is going to start soon. I’m excited about this season and I can’t wait to see what happens.” Faf du Plessis announced that he will be taking over as captain of the South African cricket team, and he is thrilled to have chosen a good friend to take on the role. The two men have been in touch for many years, and Du Plessis says that he trusts him completely.
