‘No government will rescue Jaggaur
Kaushal Kishore Mishra, 60, a local resident, said that despite the deaths, no member of the Legislature, Parliament, or government representative visited the city even though it was close to the state capital.

“There has been no sanitation or testing in the village and the situation has worsened during the outbreak of deaths due to inadequate access to health care,” Kaushal said.

‘They could not save him’
Speaking to India Today TV, Asha Devi, 60, shared her sad story of the loss of her 22-year-old daughter, Roshni, who suffered from a chronic illness that worsened within a week.

Asha Devi said a few days before her death, her daughter developed symptoms of the flu and was rushed to a nearby public health center and taken to a private hospital for treatment. However, despite her best efforts, her daughter was unable to obtain the proper treatment and died.

Ram Manohar, Roshni’s young uncle, said with tears in his eyes that they had done everything possible to rescue him. “The medication prescribed by the local doctor failed to save his life. He died at such a young age,” he said.
