Shri Dharmendra Pratap Singh of Pratapgarh has joined the SP.
The SP’s chief spokesman, Rajendra Chaudhary, said: “We hope the joining of India’s tallest person, Dharmendra Pratap Singh, will further strengthen the SP.” Asked why Dharmendra Pratap Singh was included in the SP, Chaudhary said, “Samajwadi party respects everyone and does not discriminate between people. SP is a party that takes everyone.”
Dharmendra Pratap Singh was asked if he wanted to contest the assembly elections, he said, “I have just accepted the membership in the party. As for contesting the elections, all decision will be taken by the party chairman Akhilesh Yadav. If he gives me a ticket, I will definitely contest the election.” On another matter, he said that he would like to stand in Pratapgarh assembly constituency.
