The US continues to be deported from Afghanistan in the coming weeks: Pentagon

The United States will want to deport more American citizens and Afghanistan translators in the coming weeks, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said Tuesday, saying Americans could relocate to Kabul airport.

In a series of American television interviews, Pentagon Spokesperson John Kirby said American troops, including thousands of incoming soldiers, were more focused on aviation operations and safety.
“We remain committed to ending this decline in a safe and orderly manner, and do our best to bring out the majority of our American citizens as well as those translators and translators,” Kirby told MSNBC.

“We will work really hard in the coming weeks to get as many as possible out of the country.”

Kirby told CNN’s “New Day” program that between 5,000 and 10,000 Americans are believed to be living in the Kabul area, and that the United States could travel between 5,000 and 9,000 people in Kabul a day.
Three U.S. military bases were ready to receive 22,000 Afghan allies in the coming weeks, he added.

More than 700 people, including more than 150 American citizens, were evacuated 24 hours ago, Kirby said separately on ABC News’s “Good Morning America.”
While the airport was open and flights were in progress, there were some security concerns on the south side of the airport, he added.
“Our military focus … is very prominent at the airport – we make sure we can keep it running, and we can maintain safety and stability there.”
