Google, as expected, has unveiled the Google Pixel 5a smartphone. The much-anticipated smartphone was reportedly canceled earlier this year, after which Google had to confirm its official presence in April.
Nearly three months after confirming the Pixel 5a, Google on Tuesday unveiled a smartphone for selected markets.
It comes with a $ 449 (approximately Rs 33,000) price tag in the US, which is obviously cheaper than the Pixel 4a when it was launched.
Google has confirmed that the Pixel 5a will be on sale in the US and Japan from August 26th.
The brand new Pixel 5a comes with 5G support and is an upgrade compared to older Google Pixel devices. The biggest increase this year has been the IP67 water resistance rating.
Depending on the screen size, the new Pixel 5a also packs a larger 6.34-inch display compared to the 6.2-inch Pixel 4a 5G launched last year.
In addition, the smartphone comes with a refreshing 60Hz rating and packs a massive 4680mAh battery. In addition, Google is advertising a brand new Extreme Battery Saver mode.
The Pixel 5a packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. In front of the camera, there is a 12.2-megapixel main sensor and a 16-megapixel ultra-wide sensor second.
Previously, the Pixel 5a packed an 8-megapixel selfie camera. Like the older Pixel devices, the Pixel 5a also comes with a physical fingerprint scanner on the back panel, which is well-enhanced, and comes with audio jack.
The Pixel 5a will be shipped with the charger to the retail box, and it packs an 18W charging brick.
The phone runs on Android 11 out of the box, and the company promises three years of certified software updates and security updates.
Coming to many details, the Pixel 5a 5G measures 154.9×73.7×7.6mm and comes with a 20: 9 factor ratio. It weighs 185 grams and packs Google’s Titan M Security Module.
Coming to the camera features, the Pixel 5a comes with autofocus with dual pixel phase detection, optical and electronic image stabilization.
The main sensor comes with an aperture of f / 1.7, while the second sensor packs an aperture of f / 2.2. Ahead of the video, the Pixel 5a comes with 4K video recording support at 30fps and 60fps.
The Pixel 5a comes with stereo speakers, with connecting features including Wi-Fi 802.11a / b / g / n / ac, GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.0, and NFC.
It comes in a single color, especially Black. The Pixel 5a plays a wireless metal structure and features a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 cover glass.
