Tata IPL – The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have stuck to their core buyout formula and haven’t changed much from the combination that worked for them in a largely successful 2018-21 cycle.
The 4-time champions couldn’t buy back all the players they wanted from last season, they still managed to sign qualified players to ensure their combination wouldn’t be affected.

About Deepk Chahar, the CEO of CSK said that he performed very well and the team named him as one of the top buys. “We know Deepak Chahar is a game-winner.
It worked really well for us, that’s why we listed Deepak as one of our top purchases and we got it. We knew we had to pay a lot for it and we got it,” Viswanathan added.
Devon Conway can replace Faf, Shivam Dube as a more hitting-oriented version of Shardul Thakur and Adam Milne as a replacement for Josh Hazlewood.
Fast and versatile bowler Rajvardhan Hangargekar, who was part of the U-19 World Cup winning squad, is an exciting prospect. CSK would have left the auction as one of the happiest teams.
One cause for concern could be that they might have imagined a more established away opener as well as players such as Dhoni and Bravo reaching the twilight of their careers.
The departure of Suresh Raina and Faf and the lack of a quality leg spinner could be their Achilles heel this season
