Sainik schools across the country are also admitting girls, says Prime Minister Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday announced that Sainik Schools across the country will be open for admission to girl students.

New Delhi [India], Aug 15 Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced on Sunday that Sainik schools across the country will be open to girls.

“The government has decided that the doors of every Sainik school will now be open to girls,” the prime minister said during a speech to the nation on 75th Independence Day from the Red Fort in New Delhi.

He further informed that he had received requests from girls across the country expressing their aspiration to study in Sainik schools.

“I used to get messages from hundreds of thousands of girls saying that they too wanted to study in Sainik schools, the doors of Sainik schools should also be opened for them. About 2 to 2.5 years ago , the experience of admitting girls was made for the first time at the Sainik school in Mizoram, ”he said.

Meanwhile, speaking about the National Education Policy, he said it would become a major force in the fight against poverty.

“Today, the country has adopted a new ‘National Education Policy’ to meet the needs of the 21st century. The 2020 National Education Policy will become a major force in the fight against poverty,” said declared the Prime Minister.

He further noted that when daughters and sons from poor families become professionals after studying in their mother tongue, justice will be served to their abilities.

Emphasizing the “special feature” of the policy, Narendra Modi said, “There is another special feature of the new national education policy. most effective way to move forward in life.
