Realme GT 5G could be India’s cheapest Snapdragon 888, CEO clues

The Realme GT 5G could be the cheapest Snapdragon 888 phone in India, Realme India and Europe CEO, Madhav Sheth pointed out in a tweet.

Sheth wrote that the Realme GT 5G with the latest Spapdragon 888 “will come at an unprecedented price”. This is a subtle attack on Xiaomi, which launched its cheapest phone, the Mi 11X Pro, earlier this year.

What Sheth is saying here is that the GT 5G will be cheaper than the Mi 11X Pro, which means the most affordable phone for customers.

Sheth previously told India Today Tech that the price of Realme GT 5G India will be more than Rs 30,000. This is in line with what Sheth said on Twitter earlier this week.

Realme GT 5G is the company’s most important mobile phone as it leads the GT series, which will now replace X-series in India and will be its leading mobile phone this year.

As it is, it is important for the company to set the price well, at least low enough to attract customers, because Xiaomi’s Mi 11X Pro is a popular phone and has been in high demand since its launch in India.

In fact, the more specific Mi 11 Ultra, more expensive than the Mi 11X Pro, has been Xiaomi’s most anticipated phone this year.

Not only the Mi 11X Pro, there are plenty of other Snapdragon 888 smartphones in India. He has IQOO 7 Legend which also costs Rs 39,999. After that, you have OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro phones starting at Rs 49,999.

You also have an Asus ROG 5 gaming phone that brings that processor for Rs 49,999. For Realme, lowering the price of all these calls will be part of its efforts to make the GT series a success.

The Realme want to make the GT family so strong in the smartphone market in India, which is why it plans to launch not only one but at least four GT series phones in India.

The GT 5G was launched in Europe back in June for EUR 499, translating to about Rs 44,000. This is much higher than what Sheth mocked on Twitter.

So now, we will look at the Chinese price of the Realme GT 5G, which is CNY 2,599. It translates to about Rs 30,000.

This is a realistic price and Sheth has also proved it while speaking to India Today Tech on the lines of Realme’s 100 million customer celebration.

Realme GT 5G will be a key phone in the Indian premium market and the company is confident that it will offer other brands and their phones the opportunity to earn money.
