Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation stone of a university named after the famous Jat on September 14

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh State University in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, on September 14, his office said.

This will be followed by an address, and he will also visit the Aligarh node exhibition models of the Uttar Pradesh Defense Industrial Corridor and the university, the Office of the Prime Minister (PMO) said.

It says the university was established by the national government to remember and honor Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh, a freedom fighter, educator and social change.

The university is being built on an area of more than 92 hectares in Loda and Musepur Kareem Jarouli villages in Al tear Kol’s tehsil. It will provide co-operation at 395 Aligarh campuses, the premier said.

The government’s decision to establish the university after the Jat figures is seen as political as part of the BJP’s decision to govern the people ahead of a crucial election in the province early next year.
