New Delhi: Fuel prices rose on Friday after a two-day hiatus due to rising crude prices. Petrol prices in the nation’s capital have risen by 35 paise to Rs 105.14 per liter while the price of diesel in Delhi costs Rs 93.87 per liter, according to the ANI news agency.
In the financial capital of Mumbai, Petrol prices increased by 34 paise to Rs 111.09 per liter, and the price of diesel rose by 37 paise to Rs 101.78 per liter. Petrol and diesel were valued at Rs 105.76 and Rs 96.98 respectively in Kolkata and Rs 102.40 and Rs 98.26 in Chennai respectively.
Globally, Brent crude rose 0.58 percent to $84.50 per barrel hitting a three-year high on Monday.

While the price of Petrol in Bangalore is Rs 108.80 per liter and diesel at Rs 99.63 and a liter of Petrol is sold at Rs 109.37 in Hyderabad while diesel costs 102, 42 Rs per liter. This offsets the 14th increase in Petrol prices in two weeks, while diesel prices have increased 17-fold in three weeks. Prices differ from state to state depending on the incidence of local taxes.
State-run oil refiners such as Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum, and Hindustan Petroleum review fuel prices on a daily basis taking into account crude oil prices in international markets as well as rupee-to-dollar exchange rates. Prices for petrol and diesel come into effect daily from 6 a.m.
