Omicron India- Omicron Variant: The dangerous Omicron variant of Corona has hit the country. New variants were found in two people in Karnataka. State Health Minister Dr K Sudhakar said one of those infected was 66 years old and a South African citizen.
The other is a 46-year-old doctor. He has no travel history, meaning the doctor has not traveled overseas recently.
He said the doctor’s primary and secondary contacts have been traced. Five of these people tested positive for corona. All were admitted to the public hospital. No serious symptoms were found in any. Everyone had received a dose of the vaccine.
K Sudhakar said the second person who returned to South Africa via Dubai made a negative report on Corona. Corona has been tested in a private laboratory. His primary and secondary contacts were investigated.
Of these, the corona test of a total of 264 people turned negative. This means that the certificate will be correct. The South African national came to Bangalore on November 20.

The Union Health Ministry said that so far 373 cases of the Omicron form of SARS-CoV-2 have been reported in 29 countries around the world and India is monitoring the situation.
“It is too early to assess whether Omicron causes a more serious infection or is less fatal than other forms, including Delta,” the official said at a press conference, citing the World Health Organization ( WHO). WHO has described Omicron as a form of concern.
