Speaking to us, Sisodia explained that he had seen areas where schools reopened after the first wave of Covid-19 alone infected 200 or more students, after which the schools had to be closed again.
He said conducting board tests would mean not only inviting hundreds of students to schools, but also teachers, staff, parents and other people who would need a meeting that would definitely spread Covid-19.
“They are children. When you call them together, they will communicate with each other, never marry, or share paper or letter or pencil. Something is going to happen. And I say this from our perspective when we see what happened when schools reopened for practical purposes just two months back, ”said Sisodia.
“In such a situation, on the brink of a third Covid-19 wave that will affect children the most, if we continue with the tests knowing all the dangers, no one is as stupid as we are,” said the Delhi education minister. .
Danger of distributing Covid-19 even if you collect students for half an hour, Sisodia said
“We don’t want to do tests and play with children’s health. We have said this at the center and we will also write a letter to it and that the Delhi government is not in a position to conduct board exams now, ”said Sisodia.

“There are 1 crore 40 lakh students in Class 12 across India who will register for the board exams. We need to make sure our schools are not overcrowded, ”he said.

“Even if you call them one day there is a risk that they will become infected. Even if you drive them for half an hour or three hours, the danger is the same, ”explains Sisodia.
“These are normal situations. If you try to work on them in normal and normal ways, they will not work. If we can find a new way to ensure the safety of students, that would be better, ”he said.
Vaccination requirement for Grade 12 learners
He also said what he called a high-profile meeting on Sunday. Sisodia wants all Class 12 students to be vaccinated before appearing in the exams.
He also suggested that Indian specialists be contacted and asked if the above 18 drugs could be given to those aged 17.5 as this would involve 90% of Class 12 students.
He reiterated that it was not a big deal to get 1.5 crore drugs for children today. He also pointed out that the center could buy 1.5 crore Pfizer pediatric drugs and send them to various schools as question papers are still being distributed. He said it was possible to carry out the procedure in just a few days.
Experiments based on previous years
Manish Sisodia also suggested another option for those who could not vaccinate students to test them on the basis of their performance 2-4 years ago.
If any student does not do well with the test results, he or she may be offered a chance to appear on the board test a few months later as assigned to Class 10 students, Sisodia said.
He also said the three-hour exam could not test students today even under normal circumstances. Therefore, it is wrong to perform this mode even if the epidemic is in the middle.
