prepaid users in India will no longer receive SMS benefits with low-cost refill packs. The decision, made by telecommunications operators including Vodafone Idea (Vi), Jio, Airtel and others, brings about a change in renewal packages that cost less than $ 100.

Airtel recently upgraded its smart prepaid reconfiguration program to now officially start at Rs 79.

Jio, for example, offers a pre-paid Rs 98 upgrade plan that gives users 1.5GB of data for 14 days.
In addition, the system offers unlimited voice calls and subscriptions to many services powered by Jio. However, there is no SMS option available for this program.
Similarly, Vi has a paid reload package in the Rs 49 entry package that provides 100MB of data and Rs 38 speaking time of 28 days. Airtel’s low price plan comes with a talk time of Rs 64 and 200MB of 28-day data. No two packages also offer SMS as an option now.

Disconnected SMS offers in renewal programs may affect customers who opt for these lower dates. Most online services today are usually started with SMS verification.
In addition to the SMS option for entry-level programs, users will need to choose a re-order system that costs higher than these.
It is clear to see that telecom majors are looking to increase the average revenue per user or ARPU on the go.
While SMS is a basic offering that everyone wants as part of their plans, removing them from packages at the entry level will eventually force people to purchase a higher plan.
