Telegram will now allow up to 1000 people to join the video call

The popular messaging app has announced the new execution of new features. With the new development, Telegram will now allow up to 1000 people to join group video calls and allow users to send video messages.

Not only that, Telegram has now enabled screen sharing of audio on all video calls, including individual calls – and much more.

Telegram has seen a rise in users since WhatsApp slipped under the scanner with its confusing new privacy policy.

Telegram and another Messaging Signal app have been considered secure by many WhatsApp users.

Telegram said it wanted to continue to expand this limit until everyone on Earth could join the one-party call.

As a result, the company allowed about 1000 participants to join the video call while 30 users streamed the video on both their cameras and screen.

The feature would be especially helpful for online talks, conferences and even online concerts with many participants.

Video Messages

Telegram has updated its video messaging feature. Telegram says video messages are a quick way to get in or share around without adding another video to your gallery.

Simply tap the record button in your dialog box and send it to your contacts. Video will not be saved to your gallery.

“To record a video message, tap the microphone icon in the message bar to switch from voice message recording to video. Press and hold to record, then tap the camera icon to switch back.

Audio from your device will continue to play as you record, so you can now sing your favorite songs or respond without pausing your podcast.

Plus, recording with your back camera allows you to attach zoom in and zoom in from a distance or add a great effect (bad music is not included), ”Telegram said on the blog.

You can now change the playback speed of videos sent to you via Telegram.

The media player in the app now supports playback speeds of 0.5x, 1.5x and 2x. So this can be used to quickly forward calls or watch videos at a slower pace.

To change the video playback speed, tap three dots on Android or three dots horizontally on iOS while watching the full screen video.

Android users can press and hold the 2X button when playing voice or video messages to switch between 0.5x, 1x, 1.5x and 2x playback speed.
