Apple IPhone users now have three payment methods related to the App Store in India. Until now, users have had to add their credit or bank card details to purchase app subscriptions, make in-app payments and more.
But now Apple users can pay using their UPI, RuPay account and full banking account.
You can add details of your UPI account for monthly iCloud subscriptions, automatic renewal of paid apps and use your wallet to purchase new apps or get paid features in the app.
Many Apple iPhone users in India have been notified by Apple of the introduction of three new payment methods. “New ways to pay for your favorite content.
You can now use UPI, RuPay cards, and full banking to pay in the App Store. ”Apple on a separate page has details on how users can add new and easier payment methods.
To see new payment methods, users need to update to the latest version of iOS, iPad, or MacOS.
Here’s how to add a new payment mode to your iPhone, iPad
- Go to the settings menu on your iPhone or iPad
- Tap on the Apple ID from the top of the screen
- Select payment and shipping fee and enter your Apple ID details, as Apple will ask you to sign in. To add a new payment mode, tap Add Payment Method
- Apple will guide you to add your UPI or RuPay details, follow the steps and fill in the details.
- You can also delete an existing payment method by tapping the edit option. You can add more payment methods to your Apple ID.
You can also add new payment methods using your MacBook. Here’s how to add RuPay or UPI to your account using a Mac.
Go to the App Store and enter your Apple ID and password using the login button.
Go to view information and tap Manage Payments.
