NEET-UG 2021: The Supreme Court is due to hear a plea on Friday calling for NEET-UG to be postponed to a later date. The plea seeks to overturn a July 13 public notice fixing NEET September 12 as “manifestly arbitrary” and “in violation of Article 14 of the Indian Constitution”.

The petitioner requested the postponement of the medical entrance examination to an appropriate date immediately after the current board examinations and other competitions.

Meanwhile, NTA DG Vineet Joshi told IndiaTV earlier that NEET will not be postponed. “There is no direct conflict between the NEETs and the CBSE exams, it will be held as scheduled on September 12.” Regarding the increase in NEET attempts, the NTA official said: “The decision regarding the multiple NEET attempts will be made by the Ministry of Health. At this time, there are no plans to increase the number of NEET attempts. medical entry attempts. “

A student section asks to defer NEET as there is a conflict with improving the CBSE board of directors, compartment exams and other entrance exams. Students in Class 12 of the CBSE will take an exam in Biology on September 6 and Physics on September 9, two major scientific papers in the same week of the NEET exam.

The other entrance exams like AP EAMCET will take place on September 3, 6, 7, the Indian Agricultural Research Council (ICAR) exam will take place September 7-9.
