NEET PG 2022: There was a positive outcome in a meeting with ABVP and Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya

With only a few days until the start of the NEET PG 2022 exam, thousands of medical students are still fighting for the exam to be moved from its scheduled date of May 21, 2022. A delegation of ABVP (Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad) activists met Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Wednesday to press for this. The ABVP issued a statement about the meeting on its official Twitter account.

The ABVP stated in a statement that it discussed several points in favour of the NEET PG 2022 postponement. Other health department officials were also present at the meeting regarding the postponement of NEET PG .

Though no official notification from the health ministry has been issued, the ABVP stated that the discussion regarding the postponement of the NEET PG exam was positive.

“A direction to the discussion is expected after this extensive discussion, providing relief to the candidates.” “The ABVP issued a statement.

“Our delegation mainly put forward six important points in front of the Union Minister and the officials acknowledged it to be major issues that need to be focused on,” ABVP National General Secretary Nidhi Tripathi said in a statement shortly after the meeting ended. So, we are confident that these points will pave the way for the decision and provide relief to the students.”

The ABVP also filed a memorandum with the health minister, requesting that the NEET PG registration process be reopened for one day. This would allow students who were initially assigned seats but were later denied to register for the PG entrance exam.

Last week, the Supreme Court denied a petition to postpone NEET PG 2022. The Supreme Court stated in its order that any further postponement of the NEET PG exam would result in “chaos.”
