Mehul Choksi’s bail application rejected in Dominica

Mehul Choksi’s claimed to have been abducted in Antigua and Barbuda and forcibly taken to a Caribbean island country. At the same time, Choksi’s lawyer said he believed Mehul Choksi had been illegally detained.

Choksi does not feel safe in the hands of the police: The lawyer

Choksi’s lawyer said his client did not feel safe in the hands of the police and should be returned to Antigua and Barbuda. He also said he would pay for his safety. Choksi’s lawyers also raised the issue of signs of injuries on his client’s body and his hospitalization. In the event of a misdemeanor ruling, Choksi will have the option of appealing to a higher court.

A team of officials from various organizations, led by the Deputy Auditor General of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), has traveled to Dominica to bring Choksi to India.
