Lucknow University’s Semester exams results still undeclared due to COVID hit at the campus

LUCKNOW: The Lucknow University semester exams results process was severely hampered by dozens of teachers, testing staff and the owner of the agency, who was involved in the preparation of the results tested positive for Covid-19.

The university was conducting undergraduate tests for undergraduate III and V and postgraduate III graduates in March, but the results are yet to be announced. Students took to social media on Sunday to express their fears that the session would be canceled due to delays in the announcement of results.

“It has been more than a month and the result of not even one single subject has been announced by the university. Our academic session had already four months late and the announcement of results late will only add to our problems,” wrote Anil Kumar, a student. “In May we used to have our fourth semester exam, and the results of the third semester are yet to be announced. If the results continue to be delayed we will be back for more than half a year,” said B.Com student Rati Singh.

Another student, Saurabh Singh, said, “With the results of our previous semester still pending I will not be able to apply for an online internship at a company requesting a semester mark. I thought that by May 15, I would be an intern in a firm. Our classes are held online due to the increase in Covid-19 cases and I have enough time to pursue other things. However the delay has already hit my plans.”

“Students do not have to worry, the result will be announced soon. The marking and evaluation work suffered as a number of staff members and the agency owner who prepares marksheets have been tested positive for Covid,” said a LU official.
