Latest REET News 2021: Aspirant Uses ‘Bluetooth Slippers’ to Cheat on Exam, Viral Photo Triggers Social Media Jokes

Latest REET News 2021– Using a high-tech jugaad, an aspirant taking the Rajasthan Teachers Eligibility Examination (REET) attempted to cheat using a Bluetooth device inserted into his slippers! Although its mission failed, the ingenious idea got everyone online talking.

The government had gone all out on security measures to prevent bad practices during the exam and even suspended internet services statewide. In addition, cops were deployed in various centers. According to ANI, the candidate who arrived at a center in Kishangarh, Ajmer to take the exam on Sunday, was arrested after supervisors spotted a wireless device in his ear.

Identifying the offender as Ganesh Ram Dhaka (28), police said he confessed to buying the shoes from a certain Tuljaram Jat in Bikaner for a whopping Rs 2.5 lakh, the report added.

When it comes to cheating on exams, desi students have all kinds of tricks up their sleeves. While many marveled at the ingenuity of cheaters, others lambasted the students for using unfair means to pass the exam and still, others responded with sarcasm and jokes.

According to PTI, five people have been arrested in Bikaner in connection with the Bluetooth device cheating racket. “Two of those arrested were gang members who supplied the slippers to the candidates,” the report added. In Dausa and rural Jaipur, police arrested four and eight dummy candidates respectively. Seven others were arrested at different locations.

Almost 16 lakh candidates took the exam held in 4,019 centers across the state to recruit Level 1 (Class I-V) and Level 2 (Class VI-VIII) teachers. The last REET was carried out in 2018.
