Kieron Pollard, West Indies all-rounder, has announced his retirement from international cricket.

Dashing all-rounder Kieron Pollard announced his retirement from international cricket on Wednesday, surprising cricket fans around the world. Pollard had been a member of the West Indies’ international cricket team for 15 years, and it was expected that he would continue to do so for a few more. The veteran is presently in India, playing for the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022.

“After much contemplation, I have today chosen to retire from international cricket,” Kieron Pollard tweeted, explaining his momentous decision. As is the case for many young people, it has been an ambition of mine since I was a youngster of ten to represent the West Indies squad, and I am pleased to have represented West Indies cricket for over 15 years in both the T20i and ODI formats.”

“As I move on and make space for those who will take the game forward in West Indian colours, know that I will always be there to support in any way I can.” “I now raise my bat in respect to all that is West Indies cricket,” he concluded, “with great thanks for living my dream.”
