A total of 10 coaches were selected for the Dronacharya Award.

In the Lifetime Achievement category, TP Osef (Athletics), Sarkar Talwar (Cricket), Sarpal Singh (Hockey), Ashan Kumar (Kabaddi) and Tapan Kumar Panigrahi (Swimming) were selected for this award. The winners in the regular Dronacharya category are Radhakrishnan Nair P (athletics), Sandhya Gurung (boxing), Pritam Siwach (hockey), Jai Prakash Nautiyal (para shooting) and Subramaniam Raman (table tennis). The Khel Ratna Prize has a cash prize of Rs 25 lakh and a citation. While the Arjuna laureates receive a cash prize of 15 lakhs and a citation. Before the year 2020, laureate Khel Ratna received Rs 7.50 lakh while laureate Arjuna received Rs 5 lakh.
