Natarajan reaches the bowl in his eighth over and goes for eight runs. Curran has only the Wood and Topley of the company and take this game as deep as possible.

ENGLAND 242/7 in 36 overs: Nothing seems to be going well for Prasidh today as he not only went nine runs in his sixth over, but Hardik drops his bowling alley to give Curran life on 22. ENGLAND 156/5 in 24 overs: Shardul removes Liam Livingstone, caught and bowled off a full toss. Krunal Pandya needs to provide more control over the ball. He takes seven runs with his third over. This looks like England’s long request, even if it comes with the required level of running.
ENGLAND 142/4 in 21 overs: Krunal Pandya comes in for a bowl and India loses the update after Malan’s lbw request was unchanged, the hawk’s eye showing the ball lost in the stumps. He gives only four runs in his first over. Kohli brings Prasidh and endures another poor one over, giving 13 runs. The two carried that momentum in the next over, taking ten runs from Krunal Pandya’s second over. India will not be able to take the back seat at this stage.
ENGLAND 115/4 in 18 overs: Shardul removes Buttler lbw 18, after referee Anil Chaudhary was forced to reverse his original decision in a review of India. However, Malan and Livingstone took 14 runs in his next over. Hardik is back in the economy, giving only three runs in his second over. India looks to be the favorites to win this game and the series.
ENGLAND 95/3 in 15 overs: Ben Stokes’ wicket seems to have helped Natarajan to stabilize as he throws his first saving game of the day, conceding two runs in his fifth over. Khohli looks like he has seen enough of Prasidh so far and brings in Shardul Thakur, who allows eight runs in his first over and Buttler playing a fine four-man drive. Hardik Pandya was introduced in this attack, and is going for nine runs in his first over.
