The Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) on Saturday declared the results of the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) (class 10) and Indian School Certificate (ISC) (class 12) exams. In Bihar, the overall pass percentage in class 10 and class 12 was 99.92% and 99.91% respectively.

A total of 5,240 students, including 2,368 girls and 2,872 boys, took the class 10 exam while 1,106 students, including 719 girls and 387 boys, took the class 12 exam. the state. Four students from class 10 and one student from class 12 failed the exam in Bihar.

Last year, the overall pass percentage for Class 10 and Class 12 was 99.48% and 98.46%, respectively.

CISCE Director General and Board Secretary Gerry Arathoon said: “Due to the exceptional circumstances, this year CISCE will not be publishing a merit list for the ICSE or ISC exams in the year 2020 . “

“If the situation is deemed favorable in the near future, the CISCE may give candidates the opportunity to write all or part of the remaining papers of the ICSE / ISC exam, at a later date, the marks thus obtained by the candidate in that the written exams will be considered their final marks, ”the press release said.

Meanwhile, students at several schools recorded high percentages, with many schools including St. Joseph’s Covent High School, Don Bosco Academy and St. Xavier’s High School, recording a score of one hundred percent. hundred.

At St. Xavier High School, Aafreen Tahir and Shivam Raj established themselves as the best, each scoring 99.65% in Class 10. All 154 students passed the Class 10 exam successfully. Among them, 63 students obtained a score above 90%.

At St. Joseph’s Convent High School (Jethuli), Amanee Agarwal scored 98.6% in grade 10 while Sana Jahan of Carmel High School scored 98.4% on the same exam.

At Don Bosco Academy, Shaswat Sanjeev, Anurag Gautam and Anubhav remained the top scorers in class 12 while class 10 student Shashank Kumar took first place in the school with a score of 99%.

CISCE Patna City Coordinator Mary Alphonsa said: “It has been an exceptional academic year but the results are satisfactory. The students in the city performed well.
