ICAI Reschedules CA Exams For Aspirants In Maharashtra Due To Weather Conditions

The announcement has come after students were unable to appear for the exam schedule on July 24 due to weather conditions. 

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced that CA aspirants in some cities in Maharashtra will be allowed to sit for the exams at a later date. The announcement came after students were unable to make it to the exam schedule on July 24 due to weather conditions.

“ICAI has been informed of adverse weather conditions in the towns of Ichalkaranji, Kolhapur, Ratnagiri, Sangli, and Satara. Due to exceptional natural calamities and circumstances beyond the control of the candidates for the entrance exam, it was decided that an opportunity be given to candidates absent from the basic exam, Paper – 1, Principles and Practice accounting only held on July 24, 2021, to draft said article on a date that will be specified after the conclusion of the basic examination, namely July 30, 2021 ”, indicates the official statement of the ICAI.

The ICAI, in its official statement, said this was aimed at protecting the career advancement and academic interest of applicants. These candidates are advised to sit for the other tests of the Foundation exam which will take place on July 26, 28, and 30.

The previously announced exam schedule for all other cities/centers will remain unchanged.
