11-year-old girl Flora Asodia, with a brain tumor, was made a collector for a day in Ahmedabad on Saturday.
New Delhi: Flora Asodiya, an eleven-year-old girl with a brain tumor has always dreamed of becoming a collector and serving the people. Asodiya’s wish was granted on Saturday after authorities in Gujarat took the initiative and decided to turn her dream into reality.
Flora Asodia is a grade 7 student and has always wanted to become a collector.
“Flora is from Gandhinagar and is suffering from a brain tumor. Last month she had surgery and her condition deteriorated. We received a message from the Make-A-Wish Foundation saying that the youngster girl wants to become a collector, ”Ahmedabad collector Sandip Sangle said. ANI.
After receiving the request, the collector said he contacted the girl’s family and asked them to make her dream come true. “We asked Flora’s parents to make her a collector for a day but they were reluctant as her condition deteriorated after the operation. But in the end, we managed to persuade them,” he added.
Sangle further informed that the girl also received a set of Barbie dolls and a tab. The authorities also cut a cake to celebrate his birthday at the office.
During the time spent at the collector, Flora also distributed aid under the “Vahali Dikri Yojana” and “Vidva Sahay Yojana” schemes. “Our daughter has always been a good student. She used to say that I want to do something and give others a good life, ”said her mother Apurva.
Flora’s father, Apoorv Asodia said: “Currently Flora is studying in class 7 and has been suffering from a brain tumor for seven months. She always wanted to become a collector.
“Before the brain tumor diagnosis, she was very good at studying. Today (Collector) Mr. Sandip sir, Make-A-Wish Foundation helped my daughter to become a collector. It was a huge pleasure for me and I thank everyone for making their dream come true, ”added her father, ANI reported.
