Facebook Messenger is discovering three new features in its mobile app update. The new features include three new chat themes, a quick response bar, and QR code scanning and payment links.
The update will be released for its Android and iOS apps. Media giant means QR code and payment link options are starting for app users in the US from now on.
New themes will be available on Messenger and Instagram.
Messenger Renewal was announced on the Facebook blog on June 10. Renew messaging app brings three new themes to the celebration of Olivia Rodrigo, Fast & Furious 9 (F9), and World Oceans Day.
Olivia Rodrigo’s theme marks her debut album, Sour, released on May 21. The F9 theme has been released to celebrate 20 years of fast and Furious freedom.
The theme of World Oceans Day – celebrated on June 8 – obviously allows you to explore the oceans around the world while also improving sustainability.
Added a quick response bar at the bottom of the media viewer in Messenger. Users can simply respond to a photo or video while viewing it in full screen mode and without returning to the main chat to respond to the media.
Users can later swipe up the media to return to the main chat box.
In addition, US users can, from now on, send and receive payments via Facebook Pay.
Users can make this transaction with anyone even if they are not connected to Facebook. Users can access their payment links or QR code by going to Settings> Facebook Pay.
They can then share payment links or show QR code to send and receive money to friends.
360 gadgets were able to view themes on Instagram and Messenger but the quick response bar and QR code and payment links were not visible when tested.
It is possible that the update is being phased out and a quick response feature will be available to all users soon.
