CBSE Class 12 Board Exams 2021 Cancellation: Department of Union Education makes announcement BIG

The union’s Department of Education has clarified that no final decision has been made on the cancellation of the CBSE Class 12 Board Exams.

Amid growing controversy over the cancellation of the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021, the Union Department of Education on Friday (May 14) issued a statement saying no final decision had been made in this regard.

It is noteworthy that CBSE Class 12 students across the country are demanding the cancellation of CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 due to an increase in COVID-19 cases nationwide. Several students took to Twitter to launch the online #SaveBoardStudents campaign asking the federal government and Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ to postpone the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 or test their marks on the basis of the 10th class examination program.

An official from the Department of Education has dismissed reports that CBSE plans to postpone or cancel the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 and confirmed that nothing has been finalized yet.

Discussions about the same are ongoing. No such decision has been made regarding CBSE tests for class 12 as considered in certain sections of the media. Any decision taken on this matter will be made public in public ”, read an official statement.

The CBSE official also released the reports. He said, “Any decision taken on this matter (cancellation of the 12th grade exams) will be officially announced to the public,” FirstPost quoted him as saying.

Meanwhile, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank is expected to hold a meeting on the matter on Monday (May 17). Sources say the Minister of Education could make the final decision regarding the cancellation of the CBSE Class 12 Board Exams 2021 during the meeting after consulting with the provincial secretaries of education. It is understood that Nishank will also review the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic on the education sector during a high-level meeting. The Minister will also hold discussions on promoting online education and the implementation of a new education policy (NEP).
