Cancel Board Pariksha 2022 – 63% of students vote for internal assessment for all [Survey]

Whether it is the Council Examinations by the Central Board of Secondary Education, the CBSE or the CISCE, the NIOS, or the State Council Examinations, students have been determined to conduct online campaigns and submit their requests. To better understand this, Times Now conducted a poll on February 19, 2022, in which over 42,000 candidates voted.

The Cancel Board Pariksha 2022 option in the poll organized by our team got the most votes. Nearly 63% of students chose this option and opted for Internal Assessment for All. The second most chosen option became “Council exams must be held offline and on schedule”, signaling that there are groups that are not keen on changes in any of the exams.

As students continue to make their voices heard, it is important to understand the results of this survey and the reasons for these requests.

Cancel Board Pariksha 2022: Findings of the Survey

Amid trending Cancel Board Pariksha 2022 on Twitter, conducted a survey in which the question was – “Board Pariksha 2022: Internal Assessment or Cancellation?” Students had 4 options available to them and here is how they voted –

  1. Out of over 42k respondents, nearly 63% opted for Internal Assessment for all and wanted Board Exams cancelled. 
  2. Following this, there were nearly 24% respondents who didn’t want any change in the schedule and pattern of Board Exams 2022 and they wanted these papers to be held offline.  
  3. The least voted options got only about 12% of the votes and these were as follows – Only about 7% wanted exams to be held online and about 5% wanted Board Exams postponed offline and at a later date.

The results of this poll indicate that Cancel Board Exams 2022 is the most voted option right now and with that in mind, students have also filed a plea in the Supreme Court in the hope that their demands will be met. While the case is likely to go to trial today, February 21, 2022, the outcome will not be known until later.

Board Pariksha 2022 Class 10, 12 Term 2 Exams Not to Cancel – Experts

Even though many students are still hopeful of the board exams 2022 getting cancelled, experts believe it is an exercise in futility. Discussing the Supreme Court hearing on CBSE Class 10, 12 board exams and other board exams, experts point out that the apex court has in the past dismissed similar pleas as well. While in 2021 the board exams were cancelled, experts say there is no reason why they would be cancelled now. 

Why are students demanding to cancel board exams?

Cancel Offline Board Exams 2022 has been a demand by many groups of students and to rule the decision of offline board exams by CBSE, CISCE, NIOS, Maharashtra Board, Rajasthan Board, and other state boards null, students have filed a plea in Supreme Court.

Students from more than 15 states have filed a petition with the Supreme Court seeking the cancellation of the board exams. The students gave various reasons behind their request such as if the classes were online, the exams should also be conducted online and not offline.

Board exams 2022 are scheduled to start from March/April and have already started in some of the boards. Students are demanding to cancel the board exams and evaluate them based on internal assessment criteria.
