A BCCI official said Kohli did not take lightly to be stripped of his post as captain. Kohli wants to stay away from the ODI series to give time to the family, but no one is so innocent. Not everything that happens can be accepted. Earlier, the BCCI denied the news of the differences between Kohli and Rohit, but now it has all become clear.

A BCCI official told Inside Sport that after the South Africa tour we are both going to sit down with the captain and figure out the way forward. The decision to remove Kohli from the ODI captaincy was made in the best interests of the team and Virat should not have reacted that way.

He has done so much for the team and he has always put the team first. The official said it shouldn’t affect the team. Virat and Rohit are important players on the team and they are important in all three formats. They have to play together and play well.
