Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) announced that students who have passed the final exams for Chartered Accountancy (CA) now have the right to become chartered accountants (CA). Students wishing to take the CA ICAI membership can apply from the official website, services.icai.org. The fee payment option will expire on March 31 for the session 2021-22. Candidates after membership will be able to add “CA” in their names.
“Accountants can apply for Membership immediately which would be effective from April 1,” the ICAI statement said.
From this year onwards, ICAI CA students in the final year will be able to apply for admission to Ph.D courses and apply for UGC NET. UGC recently issued an ICAI proposal to look for CA degrees at postgraduate degree level.
