“I clearly remember when he finally decided to finally call it a day. He sent me a voice note and I still remember we were coming back from EC and I got this voice note while I was driving back home. I remember that I listened to it and Anushka (Sharma) was with me and I just looked at her (in disbelief),” Kohli said in a video.

“My face dropped, and I showed her the message and the VO. ‘Don’t tell me,’ she said right away. She was aware because I had the impression, “He continued.

Virat then went on to discuss how he had an idea while De Villiers kept hinting at it. “I guessed it during the previous IPL because he kept saying, ‘I want to see you for coffee one of these days.’ I kept getting nervous because I thought something was going to happen, but he said, “No, man, there is nothing.” He never speaks like that because we are constantly interacting.”

“If we (RCB) win the championship, I’ll be very emotional thinking of him first.” Instead of what I would feel, I would think of him and how much it would still mean to him. He is a unique individual.

“I don’t think there is anyone who can say ab hasn’t made a difference in our lives,” Kohli concluded.
