The main objective of celebrating this day is also to stop child labor. Every year, we strive to highlight the plight of child labor on World Day on June 12. Governments, employers and trade unions, civil society as well as millions of people around the world are sensitized and many campaigns are also carried out to help them. There are many children who lose their childhood at a very young age. Children between the ages of 5 and 17 are engaged in work that deprives them of a normal childhood and takes them away from education and health.

This day is also important because it focuses more on things necessary for children’s development and rights.
