With the year in its final stages, the annual WhatsApp upgrade on its phone support is poised to be released soon. Starting in November, the chat app will release support for some older devices currently using WhatsApp.

Users of such Smartphones are urged to upgrade their devices and use new ones, in order to maintain their WhatsApp account.

WhatsApp has previously released a list of devices that will be compatible with WhatsApp use after November, The list is targeted at all ecosystems for iOS, Android and other applications (OS).

For iPhones, this limit is set for iOS 10 and newer versions. Similarly, KaiOS 2.5.0 and new, along with JioPhone and JioPhone 2 will keep WhatsApp going.

WhatsApp recommends its users to update their device or app until the day they continue to use the app resources. Of course, there are smartphones that do not receive Android or iOS updates on their OEMs now and therefore cannot be updated.
