WhatsApp starts releasing group joined calls to let you join a missed group call

WhatsApp on Monday began releasing integrated group calls to allow users to join a video group or voice call after it was initially missed.

This will help users to join a group call even if they initially do not miss calls when their phone rings. The update also provides an easy way to let you quit and rejoin the WhatsApp group – as long as the call goes on.

Until now, WhatsApp users would not be offered the traditional option of joining a group call. However, participants in the active call may add members during voice or video call to the platform.

Combined calls reduce the burden of answering a group call as it initiates and brings automation and freedom of conversation between people in a group calling on WhatsApp, the company managed Facebook on the blog.

How to join a group call not missed on WhatsApp

You will see a tap to join the option to log in to WhatsApp to join an ongoing group call even if it was missed in the beginning. All you have to do is hit that option to join the call.

WhatsApp has also created a new call details screen that will allow users to see who has been invited to a conversation but has not yet joined.

You can also view active call participants from the call info screen instead of getting their details after joining the call. Additionally, the call info screen has a ignore button to let you ignore the call and join later on the WhatsApp tab.

Last week, WhatsApp was seen checking calls that could be joined on the podium. WhatsApp for iOS beta version 2.21.140.11 has taken on a new feeling for iPhone users. It included a call screen that looked similar to Apple’s FaceTime interface.

Shortly after the release of iOS, WhatsApp’s introduced calls that could be joined by beta testers on Android. The whole experience looks the same in both iOS and Android versions.

WhatsApp’s has not provided specific details on when to receive incoming calls on your device. However, as the update has started to come out, it should come to the latest WhatsApp versions for Android and iOS soon.

In 2018, WhatsApp’s introduced a calling group on its platform to allow users to connect with multiple users simultaneously.

The COVID-19 epidemic has increased the acceptance of group calls among users due to social termination guidelines. That growth forced WhatsApp’s to increase the batting rate from four to eight members at a time.
