Seven ministers were sworn in on Sunday in the Uttar Pradesh cabinet. In the selection of ministers, keeping in mind the equation of castes and regions, the state assembly elections to be held early next year have been taken into account. Of the seven new ministers appointed to the state, three belong to the backward classes, three to the Dalit group and one to the Brahmin community. This is the third cabinet expansion of the Bharatiya Janata Party government headed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Uttar Pradesh.
