UP Board Exams: Class 10th and 12th Board exams might be postponed, likely to be held along with CBSE Board Exams

Uttar Pradesh: UP board exams are likely to start from the first week of May with CBSE and ICSE board tests. The state board will postpone the exams due to the Panchayat election. The Department of Secondary Education is awaiting the Panchayat election process, which will soon announce the new UP Board exam dates.

The Electoral Commission is likely to issue a notice of panchayat election between March 27 and 28. The panchayat election is expected to be held in four rounds after Holi. In that case, the UP board exams are now expected to be held with the CBSE board exams.

UP Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Dinesh Sharma said at an event at Lucknow University on Tuesday that schools were being made polling stations in the Panchayat election and teachers’ jobs were also being put on hold. Thus, the Electoral Commission had asked to change the exam dates.

The UP deputy CM also said that due to the Coronavirus epidemic, online classes will continue to be conducted in institutions of higher learning despite the school holidays.

The UP board exams are expected to begin with CBSE’s – in the first week of May. But, it will complete its board exams before the CBSE board. Since the UP Board exams are usually held in 15-17 days, they are expected to be completed in the third week of May while the CBSE board exams will be completed in June.
