Indian wrestler Ravi Dahiya has brought glory to the country by winning a silver medal in the Tokyo Olympics. Many people have congratulated him on his achievement.
New Delhi: Indian wrestler Ravi Dahiya made the country famous by winning a silver medal at the Olympic Games in Tokyo. Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated him after this achievement. Ravi Dahiya won a silver medal losing the 57 kg freestyle final 7-4 to Zaur Uguev of the Russian Olympic Committee at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.
Praising Ravi Dahiya, Prime Minister Modi said, “Ravi Kumar Dahiya is a wonderful wrestler. His wrestling spirit and penance are excellent. Congratulations to him for winning a silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics. India is very proud of its achievements. ”
Dahiya also received congratulatory messages from all over India. Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala said: “Congratulations to wrestler Ravi Kumar Dahiya for winning a silver medal for India at the Tokyo Olympics. India is proud of you. Best wishes for the future.
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar made a big announcement after celebrating Ravi Dahiya’s victory at the Tokyo Olympics. Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced a reward of Rs 4 crore to Ravi Dahiya. The Chief Minister also announced the construction of a covered stadium in the village of Nahad in Sonipat in Ravi Dahiya.
It should be noted that Indian wrestler Ravi Dahiya performed in wrestling in the 57 kg category. He couldn’t win the gold medal and missed history. He was beaten by Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) wrestler Zavur Yugave in the final.
Ravi Dahiya is the second Indian wrestler to reach the final of the Olympic wrestling event. Sushil Kumar had already reached the final in 2012.
