The first-day box office collection record of 158.6 crores set by ‘RRR’ remains unbroken, as ‘KGF 2’ collects 134.5 crores.

S S Rajamouli’s ‘RRR,’ which has emerged as one of the largest pan-India blockbusters, is roaring at the box office with full power. The monstrous movie, which was released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada, would go down in history as having the highest first-day opening collection of 158.6 crores. The release of ‘KGF: Chapter 2’, which collected 134.5 crores on its first day, has not deterred its winning run at the box office. Despite the series advantage and a holiday release, Yash’s film fell short of breaking RRR’s record.

The NTR Jr. and Ram Charan-starrer is followed by ‘Baahubali,’ which had a 152 crore opening day, and ‘KGF Chapter 2,’ which had a 134.5 crore opening day. The Rajamouli-directed film has effectively dragged theatres out of their post-pandemic slumber, attracting audiences in the sweltering April heat. This film, which has surpassed the 1050 crore mark, is breaking record after record at the box office.
